This is really good advice! I interview a lot of authors who publish in the small press scene, or through their own labels, and if I’ve learned one thing, it’s that self-publishing is a LOT of work. One of my interviewees, Hamish MacDonald, actually makes every single paper book he sells by hand. He has a podcast specifically aimed at teaching others how to do this. I think it’s enormously cool, but somehow I haven’t managed to start handmaking books yet…
That’s cool. Micropress is a whole ‘nother thing.
