Notes from a Coffee Shop

Well, that was three hours of writing! Woo!

Hulk Hercules: last night as I was drifting off to sleep, I decided to move the Nemean Lion scene so we could check back in with Tony and Leo. So, I snipped some verbage out of El Toro’s wrestling match, and inserted it, and then gave Tony the opportunity to talk to Leo about beating up Marshall. I think it was a good move. We’re currently at 38, 389 words.

The next session’s writing will be a little more challenging. I have to take Diana and Leo’s date, and do a great deal to it. I need to integrate Polly for sure, and maybe the family. I’m not a hundred percent certain where I’m going with the Jack Horner’s material, except that it’s a great way to sneak in labors. So, I’m hoping my subconscious has been kind to me, and has come up with good solutions. It could take me a few days to get this written, because I think I might have to research some classic cars, draft, and revise. I don’t think the burger eating contest will require nearly as much work, because it was clearer in my mind when I wrote it.

Substance of Shadows: We’re in the home stretch. I managed to get Milo in a couple more scenes in chapter 9. I’ve moved onto chapter 10, getting Eurydice to Rowther. She’s such a whiny girl…but I get it. I wonder if in the future I should cut Alex, given that she seems stuck in at this point. If there were another book, well, it would make more sense to have her. We’ll see what happens next session.

I may sneak back to Substance tonight if I get bored. I have quite a bit of time to kill yet before Bryon’s finished talking to parents, so there you go.
