  1. The woman who boarded Weegies with my parents also had a small herd of them elsewhere. One day, she called her sister (my parents’ tenant), and said, “I went to a show today with one of the mares. We took first place. When I got home, I realized I’d saddled up the wrong horse – the one I’d ridden in the show had never worn a saddle or carried a rider before.”
