Not advocating this as my opinion, but an interesting read.

ETA: Catrina Horsfield goes off on Laura Miller’s article, suggesting as Kizmet does in response to my last article that writing isn’t an elitist thing.

Author: Catherine Schaff-Stump

  1. I wrote my first novel via Nano four years ago, a novel I might “finish finish” before Christmas this year. For me, Nano gave me the self-confidence to believe I could write a novel people would read an enjoy.

However, I’m not doing it anymore. I just have too many irons in sundry fires. Coming up the ideas and proving I can write a whole book is no longer a priority. And Honestly, I enjoy the process too much to want to rush it.
