Return

When Floridians wander around in winter coats at 34 degrees, all I can do is laugh and laugh.

We are back in Iowa, and we had a good time. Disney could benefit from selling packs of Mickey epsom salts after a day in the parks, but they haven’t caught on yet. We spent a great deal of last night scooping, and yes, soon, we’ll have that privilege again, as we’ve just gotten another two inches.

Is it karma for laughing at Floridians? Always a question.

As I mentioned, we had a good time. It’s always nice to remember that there is more to life than work and writing.

Back soon. I have a party to plan.

  1. See, now, the problem is that Floridians, by and large, do not have winter wear. We might, in the back of the closet, have that one heavy coat from that one time we went north to see that thing called “snow.” So when the temps dip, we have no choice but to haul out that one winter coat — and this is why you commonly see Floridians wearing stupid getups like the winter coat with flipflops.

Anyway, I hope you had a great time down here. If we hadn’t been hosting family, I would have run over to say hi!

  2. I did have a great time! I understand how Christmas can be with family, so I didn’t ask, but the next time I’m down your way, I will. 🙂 I hope you had a great Christmas.

It’s -30 windchill here. I wish I’d stayed in Florida.
